Let’s say God gave you the typical “genie in the bottle” opportunity; you know, the I’ll give you anything you ask for kind of opportunity.  What would you ask for?  Stupid amounts of money?  A beautiful woman/handsome man at your side?  A bigger more luxurious house?  A European sports car?  That better position at work?  Fill in the blank.

I read a story of a man that when given that opportunity asked for wisdom. This guy wanted discernment to be a good leader.  Wow!  Really?  Yep!  And do you know what?  God gave him wisdom—the kind of wisdom that gave him the designation “the wisest man that has ever lived.” 

I know what you’re thinking: that guy needed some brights before God asked him.  If he had any sense of discernment he would have seen the opportunity of a lifetime.  An opportunity to have whatever he wished for; the world was at his fingertips, and he asked for insight.  What an idiot!  Right?  Well, yes and no.
